They’re quick enough to make on a whim and easy enough for kids to help with — no special tools or baking required. Set up a few bowls of melted chocolate and toppings, and let everyone create their own edible works of art.
Ingredients
- 1 bag pretzel rods
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips or vanilla candy melts
- Orange, purple, green, and black gel food coloring or candy melts
- Halloween sprinkles, sanding sugar, or candy eyes
- Parchment paper, for lining
Instructions
1. Melt the Chocolate
In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Tint with gel food coloring if using white chocolate.
2. Dip the Pretzels
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip each pretzel rod about halfway into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place on the parchment to set.
3. Decorate
While the coating is still wet, sprinkle on Halloween decorations or candy eyes. For extra color, drizzle a contrasting shade of melted chocolate over the dipped portion using a spoon or piping bag.
4. Let Set
Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm. Once set, peel from the parchment and serve or package for gifting.
